Born from a continuous pursuit of innovation, the Tartarugas F.C. Residence emerged from the desire to explore new construction possibilities. Designed for clients seeking a high-value investment property, the project was anchored in the challenge of reimagining the use of shingle roofing — a material already familiar to the Milcent Arquitetura team.
After a series of on-site tests, and taking advantage of the material’s flexibility, we developed a fully curved roof that mimics the movement of ocean waves. From this unprecedented solution, the entire project was conceived to highlight the roof’s dynamic form: simple, clean architectural lines guide the gaze toward the sweeping curves that dominate the composition.

Situated on a corner lot, the residence benefits from an orientation that favors natural conditions, ensuring cross-ventilation and abundant natural light. Developed as a large rectangle, the house seamlessly integrates its social spaces through continuous openings that connect the interior and exterior, reinforcing the sense of spaciousness and the welcoming atmosphere of a seaside retreat.
The landscaping, designed with medium-height vegetation, creates a green belt that offers privacy without competing with the lightness of the roof. Every material choice reinforces the residence’s effortless yet sophisticated character: palm thatch made from dendê fibers, neutral tones accented by soft greens that echo the pool’s hue, natural quartzite on the countertops, and carefully selected Brazilian woods and marbles.

In the main social area, the design proposes a generous sofa that subtly defines the different spaces, an organic-shaped breakfast table, and a gourmet space seamlessly connected to the pool — ideal for moments of gathering and celebration. Externally, the continuity between landscaping and architecture is embodied in a wooden bench that runs along the side of the property, expanding opportunities for relaxation and conviviality. Between lounges, swings, and outdoor dining areas, the residence invites spontaneous living in close connection with nature.
On the upper floor, five suites are dedicated to family privacy, while the ground floor houses the social areas and an additional suite strategically positioned for accessibility and comfort. The residence also features a ventilated and naturally lit basement, where technical areas, laundry facilities, service quarters, and a dedicated spa space — ideal for massages and meditation — are discreetly integrated.
The Tartarugas F.C. Residence is a celebration of material innovation, harmonious integration with the natural surroundings, and the creation of new ways of inhabiting the Bahia coast, blending aesthetics, comfort, and an architecture deeply attuned to the experiences of those who live it.
